      Police Officers Official Oath of Office

Having been duly appointed a Police Officer of the City of Catoosa and a Peace Officer of the State of Oklahoma, do solemnly swear, that I will defend, enforce and obey, the Constitution of the United States of America, the State of Oklahoma, the Charter and Ordinances of the City of Catoosa and the Policies, Procedures and Practices of the Catoosa Police Department. I will obey the lawful orders of my superior officers, the regulations of the City of Catoosa and the Catoosa Police Department. I will protect the Rights, Lives and Property of all citizens and uphold the Honor of the Police Profession, with my life, if need be. This I solemnly swear.




         Catoosa Police Department Requirements:

 

Must be 21 years of age or older

 

Must posses a high school diploma or GED.

 

Must posses a valid Oklahoma driver’s license at the time of employment

 

Must not have a conviction for, be under indictment for, or currently charged with any felony offense.

 

Must not or currently be charged with any misdemeanor offense involving moral turpitude within the last five (5) years.

 

Must take and successfully pass a physical examination regulated and required by the Oklahoma Police Pension Board.

 

Selected police officer candidates must successfully pass the physical examination and must be certified by the Oklahoma Police Pension Board as physically qualified to participate in the Oklahoma Police Pension plan.

If a candidate does not successfully meet all necessary qualifications as outlined by the Oklahoma Police Pension Board, then he/she will not be considered further for employment with the Catoosa Police Department.

 

Must pass a pre-employment physical fitness assessment test.

 

Must take and successfully pass a psychological examination mandated by the State of Oklahoma.

 

Candidates must meet all requirements for police officer(s) mandated by the State of Oklahoma.

 

Must have successfully completed thirty (30) semester hours from an accredited college or university.
